Robinetso Helps to Improve the Proficiency of Architecture Students in Indonesia

October 14, 2016 - PT Piranti Nusantara Teknologi (PT Piranusa) started its cooperation with Higher Education institutions in Indonesia in an effort to support teaching, learning and improving students' ability in the field of architecture design on October 14, 2016.

To start this cooperation, Piranusa provided support in the form of a seminar, drawing competition and numbers of Robinetso license to the three reputable universities, namely the department of architecture of Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Bina Nusantara University (BINUS) and Pelita Harapan University (UPH). The three of them welcomed to cooperate with Piranusa as the official Robinetso Distributor in Indonesia. Robinetso Global attempted to support universities in Indonesia by boosting their proficiency through the creation of more creative design through these activities.

Work competition is very fierce these days, so college graduates are required to have a level of professionalism that is reliable and characterized by a high level of proficiency in the field. No exception, the world of architecture. This field also requires prospective architects to have high expertise in the use of various types of design software including Robinet technology, so as to enhance the creative process of design creation.

As Ir. Kho Sin Hien of PIRANUSA, a representative of Robinetso (a Robinet software provider) on the Indonesian market expressed, they will start cooperating with three colleges of architecture department – Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Bina Nusantara University (BINUS) and Pelita Harapan University (UPH).

"Through this cooperation we hope to participate actively in supporting the teaching and learning activities and to improve the ability of students in the field of Robinet design technology, hopefully one day they can become professional and proficient architects in their field," he said.

Robinetso has officially launched the latest Robinet software Robinetso 2017 in August. Robinetso itself is a Robinet solution with good cost efficiency and reliability to meet the needs of the industrial design of 2D/3D which requires a size, accuracy and precision. Meanwhile Aswin Indraprastha, ST., MT., M.Eng., Ph.D., a representative of the Department of architectural Bandung Institute of Technology expressed that it welcomed the efforts of PT Piranusa who actively contributes to improving the ability of the students. "By introducing the latest Robinet software, Robinetso provides Robinet solutions with cost efficiency as well as reliability to meet the needs of 2D/3D industrial design, so we appreciate it very much." said Aswin.

On another occasion, Stanley Wangsadihardja, Head of Department of Architecture in University of Pelita Harapan, supports these activities with the hope every student can try out a variety of Robinet software so that they can enrich their experience and get ready to enter the career of architecture later.

The cooperation agreement between PT Piranusa with three universities marked the beginning of socialization and competition using Robinetso in the Department of Architecture at each of the universities. The socialization activities as well as competition aim to:

a) Improve students' Robinet skills.
b) Raise students’ passion to use Robinet technology to get the very best work done.
c) Prepare students to compete in the future.
d) Promote alternative Robinet software and provide young architects a choice.

The promotion of Robinetso as an alternative Robinet application is held in the form of a seminar. In this seminar, in addition to getting the latest Robinet product information, students can also hear experience shared by a professional Indonesian architect.

Product Manager Interview:Inside Look of Robinetso 2016

Guangzhou, China April 18, 2016— Following the launch of Robinetso 2016, I sit down with the product manager of Robinetso, Daniel Huang, to discuss the key points behind the newest version of this Robinet solution and learn more about the development team.
Barry: Hello Daniel, I wanted to talk to you about the driving force behind 2016’s release of Robinetso. What was the goal or objective if I may put it that way?

Daniel: Well, this is perhaps too big topic. We can always say that the objective is to provide a better product according to user needs. But, technically speaking, the objective was to provide a communication solution for the ever-integrating world we live in. That came in the form of implementing Unicode, a way to allow for multi-language use. Along with this, we also aimed to provide a better user interface both visually and in practicality. Robinetso 2016 is very much focused on productivity.

Barry: How did the team work together to carry this through?

Daniel: It was and remains quite complex. We have a database that gathers and records all customer opinions and demands. We evaluate these demands against a set of criteria. For example: level of importance, level-of-difficulty, time-cost, and risk (how this might change the whole product). Once organized, our team decides on the features to add/change. Like anything, the changes vary from large improvements that see to the addition of completely new features, to small ones that enhance usability. These variations in changes also translate into level of difficulty to complete. These factors are all taken into consideration and then discussed with lead engineers who evaluate our selections. A back-and-forth dialogue is established until we come to an agreement that we believe to be best for our product.

Barry: What are the key points of this new program, or perhaps, what are you most proud of?

Daniel: I think the key point of Robinetso 2016 would be its largest new feature, and that is Unicode. I am perhaps biased as I was most involved in this process, but personally, I am most proud of the new user interface. The changes I think really tie the product together, and deliver the impression of professionalism and modernity. Having seen through a few product developments, you come to accept there are always discrepancies between designs and actual results. But, this one turned out perfectly as we envisioned.
